How do we talk and think together?  Our success, and that of our organisations and communities, is dependent on how well people talk and think together. When we decide to do things that affect other people, we need to talk with them and think about the wider consequences of our actions. If we don’t, we keep tripping each other up. That is frustrating and limits how successful we are in our everyday work and in our lives in general.

Practical Skills of Dialogic Decision-Making: The effectiveness of any organisation depends on the quality of decision-making. Yet this essential skill is often lacking with poor decisions being made, perhaps by a few people lacking adequate information, and then having to be remade. This costs time and energy - and can frustrate the progress on the many interdependent tasks being undertaken at any time. We consider decision-making in depth.  It is surprising how many decisions we make each day. This activity can become so habitual that we largely function on automatic. This course is about making decisions more consciously. We explore how we make sense of things. We learn about the structure and process of every decision, and a framework is provided for clarity about accountability for decision-making.
